Platinum Samples has hooked up with one of the most successful producers in the rock arena to create the Evil Joe Barresi Glamouflage Kit quickPack for BFD. Evil Joe is known for producing and engineering many of today's greatest modern rock bands, including Tool, Queens Of The Stone Age, Bad Religion, Weezer, Pennywise, and Clutch. This BFD-compatible quickPack sample collection features the Pork Pie Glamouflage drumkit from the critically-acclaimed Evil Drums expansion pack. Tracked by Joe on a Neve 8028 console to analog 2' tape at the legendary Sound City Studios, the drum samples have been taken to the next level-fully mix processed, without losing any velocity layers or resolution, Joe has EQ'd, compressed, and performed his magic using the same console and equipment he uses when mixing for other artists.
In addition, in a moment of evil genius, Joe patched the kick and snare though his classic Helios console-both through the line inputs to give them added warmth, and through the mic inputs to give a modern distorted option, offering a total of three wicked options for the kick and snare. The Glamouflage Kit includes well over 1,200 grooves samples in both BFD2 and BFD 1.5 format.

Combined, it gives you a truly diverse and all-encompassing collection of drums designed to cater to any facet of today’s fragmented scene – from the most brutal, blast beat-ridden and breakneck-speed death metal to hard-hitting metalcore, hardcore and all the fusion-inspired hybrids of progressive metal.The SDX was configured as two separate libraries, one for each studio. The ‘Death’ portion of the SDX was recorded by Mark Lewis at his choice studio, the Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas. The Ranch’s perfectly crafted Vincent van Haaff-designed main room offers second-to-none acoustics – pristine and distinct but still dense and with a warm, resonant and balanced natural reverb.
To contrast, the ‘Darkness’ part of the SDX offers a completely different experience – a darker, less polished and more raw-natured tone of drums. It was recorded in the empty swimming pool in Tue’s longtime and much-legendary Antfarm Studio in Aarhus, Denmark.
With the reflective surface of the hard tile walls and floor in the pool combined with the surrounding room’s brick structure and high ceiling, the ambience of this unique room heard on countless albums is unlike any other.Welcome to two studios, two schools of modern engineering and an almost insurmountable amount of drums ready for you to hone, mold and shape to literally anything you can imagine sound-wise.
I had a long email exchange with upstream in Nov/Dec about this. Replying to:indeed. Mac os x 10 5 leopard iso ppc class 10. They know exactly what the issue is, and some others have seen this before (frederic).object gets newed by one libstdc, and is attempted to be freed by the other, just like we always worried about.we can set DYLDLIBRARYPATH in macports environ to work around it.iirc that worked fine to make cmake work with 10.5.that's logically the same as replacing libstdc, of course, at least for the new softwae.That might be our best bet, actually, as I want to get this idea also working to use a newer libc on the newer systems anyway.Forgive my ignorance again.
