It was simple to set up, just plug the 2 cables into the TV (after you put in the 4 AA batteries that are not included. Luckily I had some) and select the input. He had a blast with it, trying out new to him games. I do worry that the joy stick may not be overly strong, and the cables that connect it to the TV are only about 7 feet long, but all in all a fun, cheap game system. The cables roll up and are stored inside the controller, so it isn't a mess when storing it away.
I had forgotten how irritating the noise is, but I just turn the sound way down so I don't have to hear the annoying pac-man noise lol. Bought for boyfriend who loves the old PacMan game. Disappointed that there's no sound and way to short of a cord. Due to where tv is mounted, he has to sit on a chair just barely 3 feet away. He's going to see about an av adapter to lengthen the cord so he can sit on the sofa and play. The joystick is a little less responsive than he likes but game stills plays good. Patterns seem to be the same for game play.
It says there's option for 2 player but you would need to share controller. Overall for under $20, it's worth it.3 stars for no sound and short cord, 5 stars for playing like old original game = 4 stars overall.
