The Princeton Reverb works in so many situations. Its smaller size lets it work in places where other amplifiers are too large, but it can hold its own in settings where other players are using those larger amps. Whether it be a vintage Blackface or Silverface amp, or one of the re-issue amps that Fender has released over the years, (like the.

FenderPrinceton Tweed 5F2 1950's Handwired Reproduction Amp Amplifier A little history on this amp: This amazing Tweed amp was hand builtby Jeff Check for the original purchaser, a collector whom I purchased the ampfrom. Jeff Check is a master builderwith quality unmatched.

Jeff makeshis own cabs, with build quality exceeding any of the kits and “off the shelf”setups available. Only top componentsused throughout. Entirely hand wired, clothwiring, Sprague capacitors, etc. Pleasesee pictures for exact components and details.Designed to meet and exceed any Princeton amp ever made! This amp is a replica of the 50's style Fender tweedPrinceton amp. The tone control adds more than most peoplerealize.makes a huge difference.

It has a Jensen P10R speaker in it.It is built like a tank and with the highest quality. It is the bestsounding tweed amp in its (5 watt ) class amp that I have ever heard.

Itis in “excellent plus” cosmetic and operational condition. The control panel is still covered in its protectiveplastic film. This amp incorporates a 10' speakerinstead of an 8' speaker, and incorporates a Standby switch. From the original collector: “I own a Kendrick tweedchamp model and a Victoria champ model and this one sounds better than eitherof mine, and as far as I'm concerned the quality is better than both of mine. Theearly tweed Princetons had a smaller body size than the later Champ tweed ampsbut the later 50 tweed Princeton's had a bigger body then the tweed Champ amps,so this one has the later Champ size body basically. “The Champ came in a few different sizesthrough the 50's as did the Princeton.

Princeton

The cab on this one is a little biggerthan the late 50's Champ of the late 50's era, and a little smaller than thelate 50's tweed Princeton of the era, and yet a little bigger than the early Princetonof the era. So it is like an in between. Jeff Check made all his cabs by handthe way they should be made using only the best in materials for wood, as wellas with components etc. The original speakers in the early Champs andPrincetons were 6' speakers which were not that great IMO, the later 50era Champs/ Princetons came with 8' speakers.

This one has a 10' speakerwhich is superior to the others. I had once ordered and owned (but sold) aKendrick roughneck that is a Champ style amp with a 10' speaker. It isreally the way to go. It not only handles the low tones nice and chimey buthandles the vol.

On 8 though 12 much better than the 8' and the 6' speakerwas just junk IMO.” If you are looking for one of the ultimateTweed amps of all time, look no further!read more.
